Sacred Roots Astrology emerged…
…after a year long deep dive…
at Highden Mystery School in the Manawatu.
It is in discovering what we truly care about, that which we hold as sacred, that we discover our unique Soul Note. The thing which we hold most sacred, points to that which lives at our core. The thing we hold most sacred is the most intimate part of ourselves, and it’s directly connected to our unique genius, our deepest passion, and our Soul Purpose.
When we connect to our own sacred roots, we also begin to see the sacred roots within every other being. We start to recognise each other’s soul gifts, each other’s ‘soul notes’, which make up the grand ‘unique self symphony’ that we all are.
Not only do we begin to see and encourage each other’s soul shine, but we also start seeing a layer deeper than that. This deeper reality is the Soil which nourishes our sacred roots, it is the One Life which lives at the core all things. That which we call the Monad - the origin point of the Soul - is beyond our individual soul’s journey. It’s the dark oneness of Spirit, from which we came and to which we shall all inevitably return.
It is in experiencing this deeper underlying level of reality that we can most easily break through the calcification, or the hardened crusts of our personalities - with their likes and dislikes, judgements and habits, tendency towards scarcity, competition, separation and domination - and remember ourselves as shining stars who are here to sing our unique song, dance our unique dance, and bring our unique gifts to the world.
This is our Dharma, and this is what Sacred Roots Astrology seeks to reveal. The main three modalities we use are Astrology, Human Design and the Gene Keys. By inquiring through these lenses, we can see patterns emerging, threads, and clues as to the soul’s intent in this particular lifetime.
We welcome you to join us on this journey of discovering your sacred roots.
The wider roots
The intention is for this to become a node in the wider soul community emerging in Aotearoa, Oceania, and Worldwide. This website is also a landing pad for other creator’s seedlings which need soil to root in whilst they establish and grow and make themselves known in the world. It’s a place where learners of astrology can come to be nourished, and also those wanting to learn this particular way of weaving Human Design, Astrology and Gene Keys can receive tools, guidance, and ultimately find their way to their own ‘aha’s.
There will be group calls and online classes where we can cross pollinate ideas and where our shared wisdom can ripen.
I was born to be an astrologer.
How do I know?
Apart the fact that all I wanted to paint as a child was the planet Jupiter, my soul has given me numerous unmistakeable signs that we do not live in a ‘random’ universe.
I was born 333 days, 3 hours and 33 minutes into the year of 1992
Upon discovering this, I was already 2 years deep into my astrology obsession, and honestly, every step along the way it felt more like ‘remembering’ astrology than ‘learning’ astrology.
When someone told me about Human Design, I was already half way through my studies of traditional Hellenistic astrology with Austin Coppick, and I scoffed at the idea of a ‘new version of astrology’ that was channeled by some guy called Ra in 1987.
So I rejected Human Design. Didn’t even look up my chart. It wasn’t until 2 years later that I heard a different take on it, someone looked up my chart and have me a few insights that were undeniably resonant.
Even then it took another 2 years to fully accept the legitimacy of HD, but once I saw the validity in it, I immediately dived in.
It was dense. It felt like there were these impenetrable layers to the thing, I couldn’t get ‘in’ to the system of Human Design, like I couldn’t with astrology.
So I would delve into HD for a few weeks, then take a few weeks’ break as my head started to explode. Another few weeks in, then a few weeks off as I felt like I was seeing too much into things.
All the while experimenting with my own Strategy and Authority, and it has been a very worthwhile exploration indeed.
Now, with what I have seen with the Human Design system, I so deeply see the benefit and importance of it that I would simply never give an astrology reading without looking into the clients Human Design chart. It’s that fundamental.
Equally as potent is the Gene Keys.
I would not be where I am now in my journey of self-gnosis and becoming if it weren’t for the Gene Keys.
The depth that these contemplations can lead to is infinite.
The Gene Keys gives a way out, a way through, and a way to master and transcend the energies that have ancient been described by Astrologers throughout time.
Diagnosis through astrology is one thing, and the intuition of a gifted astrologer in their ability to pinpoint the most pertinent energies in a chart is highly valuable, but having a clear direction and way through… is priceless.
In the weaving of these three systems, a golden thread starts to emerge - my job is to tug on this thread.
Of course, I will lay out for you all of the most important parts of your chart, your design, your profile, and you will be able to grasp and understand these (if not upon first listen, perhaps as you listen back to the recording a few times)… but the real magic is in finding this 4th quality which emerges from the centre of these 3 incredible systems.
My Mercury is in Scorpio conjunct Pluto - So as far as exploring the depths of your charts, I’m willing to go as deep as you are.
